OSG Summer, the summer program for the Online School for Girls, begins its first session on July 5, 2011. Classes in the first summer section are: Review of Algebra I; Summer Writing Review: Write with Clarity, Confidence, and Purpose; Transitioning from Spanish II to Spanish III; and Introduction to Computer Programming. All courses are limited to twenty students. And, all courses have spaces available except for the first session of Summer Writing Review– that course does have a couple of remaining slots for the second summer session.
Summer classes are all asynchronous– there is no need to log into classes at a particular time of day– giving students the flexibility they need from a summer course. Students can expect to spend 8-10 hours a week on the courses in the summer.
