The National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Online School for Girls are happy to announce the co-creation of a special new two-week professional development course for administrators: Online Learning: Developing a Strategic Approach for Your School. During this two week course, administrators will gain the tools, background information, and experience needed to begin strategic conversations about online learning at your school. As usual, space is limited to 25 participants. And, for this special class, all participants must be from NAIS member schools, and each school is limited to only three participants. The special price for this class is $125.
The course will be taught by Albert Throckmorton, the Assistant Head of St. Mary’s Episcopal School in Memphis, Tennessee. Albert has been an active leader in independent schools’ use of technology to support learning for many years. In 2002, he co-authored Leadership and Technology at Independent Schools: A Handbook for School Leaders in Administration, Technology, and Academics with Jamie Britto and Tim Fish. And, he has served as the past Chair of the NAIS 21st Century Curriculum and Technology Task Force. Albert has also been involved with online education for a number of years. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Online School for Girls, as the Board’s Vice President.
